DGdigitalgears

digitalgears LLP

One company, building a portfolio of focused products.

digitalgears designs and builds technology products end to end — from the backend to the Android and iOS app in someone’s hand. SECURIT, our security workforce management platform, is first. More are already taking shape.

What we build

Focused products, built end to end

Each digitalgears product is one problem, understood deeply and built properly — backend, web, and native apps from a single shared codebase.

Live product

SECURIT

Security Workforce Management System

A platform for running a security workforce end to end — scheduling shifts, verifying attendance on-site, tracking patrols and incidents, and giving agencies, clients and guards a shared, real-time view of operations. Two frontends, one shared system: the web app is built for office executives and top management — larger screens, strategic planning, oversight and reporting — while the mobile app is built to make day-to-day work seamless for the workforce on the ground: security guards, site leads, field officers and agency managers.

In the office

More ideas are taking shape. digitalgears builds one product at a time, properly — the next one will be here when it’s ready.

Thinking

How we think about building

Notes on the problems we're solving and the way we work — not announcements.

See all

Starting with a real problem, not a market gap

SECURIT began with a genuine, specific problem — coordinating a security workforce across shifts, sites and clients — not a search for something to build. That's the pattern we're repeating with every product that follows.

Why we build one product at a time

digitalgears is deliberately not spreading itself across many half-finished ideas. SECURIT came first and stayed the focus until it was genuinely usable; VFL is being built the same way.

One codebase, two platforms

Both SECURIT and VFL are built as Kotlin Multiplatform apps — one shared codebase producing native Android and iOS apps. It keeps the two platforms genuinely in sync, not two separate products wearing the same name.

Our approach

How we build

The same process, applied to every product — whatever the domain.

  1. Observe

We start inside the real workflow — shifts, sites, people — not a spreadsheet of assumed requirements.

  2. Simplify

Most software problems are complexity problems. We cut the process down to what actually needs doing before we design anything.

  3. Build

One shared codebase, backend to native app — so what ships on Android and iOS is the same product, not two separate efforts.

  4. Evolve

A product stays in active use, and active use keeps teaching us what to build next. Nothing ships and gets forgotten.

About

digitalgears

digitalgears is a technology company — an LLP building a portfolio of products, each one designed and built end to end: backend, web, and native Android and iOS apps from a single shared codebase.

We start with real, specific problems rather than broad markets. SECURIT came from the practical difficulty of running a security workforce across shifts, sites and clients. VFL is following the same discipline, starting with hyperlocal services in a five-kilometre radius.

We build one product at a time, properly, and keep it in active use — that use is what teaches us what to build next.
